The “progressives,” want things to stay the same, like things don’t and the institutionalists (conservatives) want the change to continue, like it does. I’m serious. Why? Have you solved it your away around or something?
ADR – All due respect – but Dr. King, like most people, didn’t know from evolution and the Dream Speech is creationist. I do not “have a dream,” of a better life, I have a dream of ANY life, because the choices are not a good life or a bad life, the “bad life,” isn’t stable. It is not some ideological BS where we have a choice between a better future forever or a worse future forever. A worse future is death.
A future in that direction isn’t any future.
It’s evolution, so the choices are not static states, the choice is to get better or get worse, it is how to change. The status quo is not static, it is an endless cycle of change and collapse.
The status quo is in motion, it is the Overton window, it is the march to war.
The voices for war speak as if progressives want change, and the progressives talk of “old boys and old ways,” as though the status quo were stable and not forever cycling into chaos. They speak as though nothing ever changes and we are in the middle of eternity with the fascists, but that the forever natural communism we had for tens or hundreds of thousands of years were some future dream, that it is the progressives who want to “change things.”
No.
Surprise: it is the bad guys who change, who evolve, who live the constant change of antisocialization. It is “progress,” to slow them down, because the abuse of law and order and “spanking,” is an environment and we adapt to it and then write more laws: this is evolution. The enshittification is evolution. The bad guys are very into evolution, just not the good kind.
Everything is backwards in AST, in Autistic science.
Rather, they are.
I love this. This is what I call the good thinkin’.
I accuse the Parental Rights people of Evolution, of believing in evolution, and of using and abusing it for purposes of crime.
If the Ds don’t fight Parental Rights hard enough – and they won’t, same as CRT – it’s because the Ds don’t understand evolution and they fantasize about a static, created world. They don’t realize that every spanking costs the good guys a vote by pissing someone off. It’s sort of too late in the world for AST to have made the predictions, but it made them all and this is one, already in the past as it is, that the Ds won’t fight the Parental Rights shit.
I bet it took me writing three million words to get to this: evolution is reality – so the status quo is evolution, not the agreed upon state of things, but the agreed upon rate and direction of change of things.
The institutions are protecting the change, protecting the rate and direction of change – so no, they do not “hold.”
They move.
They force the change, the degradation, the descent into conflict, if that’s the direction things go, it is the institutions taking us there. Force seems to have its own direction, so generally that’s the direction human things go.
Again, the whole public Allistic narrative is backwards to my mind, so I had to throw out my Allistic education, ignore all the grownups and professors and rebuild it properly, for me.

So Wallace and Darwin weren’t discoverers – they were whistleblowers, because of course society always ran on evolution. It’s just that the silverbacks don’t want you to know about it.

Abuse with an Excuse 
OK, since you won’t take my word for it, let me break that first paragraph down for you:

And we think “conservatives,” like things the way they are, the way they have been. Right?

Wrong. I don’t think that’s right.

That’s all strange rhetoric, with only an inverse relation to reality, obviously it is the progressives who would save the environment, try to keep the living world as it was forever, while it is the conservatives who will not stop changing everything until everything is gone.

These terms are pure Newspeak, completely backwards.
.
Perhaps they have a contemporary political meaning where “the past,” is the Bush administration and the good folks would like to “move forward,” from such “backward looking” times – ha! And also one where the past is the Bush administration and the conservatives would like to keep it that way, the best of all possible worlds.

But seriously, in the longer term:

I guarantee you think things still that I think I have dispensed with for you already at this point in the conversation. I know.

Conflict and competition are what the conservatives are about, and according to them, this is “the past,” and they are “conserving,” a time tested system – this is not the case in the very long term and even if it was, there is nothing traditional or forever about the technical escalations of modern war. That is change.

Needless to say, the pastoral peace the hippies and the “progressives” dream of is not an arms race and we would mostly trade the present world for a peaceful time during any period of history regardless of level of technology.

Hell – the technology to deal with disease has failed to save us from disease, what is the advantage when the people in charge think the past is nothing but conflict and wish only to conserve that? People who think like that are just as likely to use a plague against you.

Thing is, if the past was naught but conflict and you work to conserve it, you are conserving an environment of war, and people adapt to environments, cumulatively, this is evolution, so things would change, people would get more inured to war, less evolved for peace. In this way, “conservatives” push our evolution towards more and more conflict. Wait for it –

If that wasn’t the past, if the past was Graeber’s forever natural communism and you arrange an environment of war – not better, how could it be?

So regardless of what the past really was, “conservatism,” evolves people towards conflict. The work to conserve a life of conflict, what they do to be “conservative,” is conflict in all its forms, child discipline, authority, and law and order – always and forever the conservative platform: an environment of threat and conflict, under which people must adapt towards war.

In this way, it is the political Right, moving evolution along, changing people for the worse and being insistent about it – the parties of evolutionary change.

I recently lost interest in trying to save humanity, we’ve run out of time, though I do worry about the future for my dogs’ sake.

Every now and then I look for a new blog site, there isn’t anything like our former play pen.
I went to see if anything had come of Ben’s latest but it looks like he didn’t pay the server bill.
A couple of years ago I read some of his posts, he claims that he’s been travelling in time… Judging by his profile pic he’s a cooker now.
Religion? Get a dog, they are hugely better than humans and are god spelled backwards 🙂

I haven’t deleted my twelve year account at Twitter, but I stopped checking in. I’m on a server at mastodon called “neurodifferent dot me”, @punishmenthurts still. I don’t quite understand the configuration there, but it’s tag driven and I’m mostly talking to Autistics these days, “#actuallyautistic,” like that.

A few years ago I axed all my social media, people still text me stuff from it and most of it requires you to have an account to see. I do sometimes doomscroll Reddit to kill time bit I even find that a bit on the nose. I almost joined threads just because I dislike Musk, mostly I just read books having gone off people.
What do autistic people talk about? I’ve never been much into that group thing, other than the social blog and a couple of sporting things.
