Another Murderous Madman and the Obvious Common Denominator

A bunch of girls didn’t do what he wanted, so he set out to hurt a bunch of girls and teach them all a lesson. Folks, yes that is misogyny, yes it is gun violence, but mainly

IT IS PUNISHMENT.

The reason all these killers find it reasonable and rational to hurt the people who don’t do what they want, is because EVERYONE finds it reasonable and rational to hurt people when they don’t do what  they want. That’s the concept of punishment. And we all know where he learned it, where they all learn it, where WE all learned it. Right?

Now how is it that what these crazies are trying to do and why is somehow not front and center of the conversation? Why are we talking about sex rather than the roots of violence, why are we talking about who the victims are instead of what these killers are doing and why?

The most disappointing thing about it is that the only thing they are talking about is guns.

Oh, there’s a ton of Twitterage about misogyny, but with Brevik it was Islamophobia, and there’s anti-semitism, and homophobia . . . everyone seems to want to talk about the status of the group that’s getting killed, but no-one talks about the common thing, it seems like we’re all OK with killing those we don’t like, except the group of folks being killed.

I was thinking about that this morning, everyone has their little causes they like to bang on about and rarely does anyone look outside there. I saw a blog recently which was a repost of an article about racists, the blog was full of ranty comments – no one actually noticed that the original blog was from a satire site. Its all about flags.

The first thing I do with those articles is read up on the source, arguing with the right wing taught me that most of their references are wrong, especially SEC who once linked an article about gun control that said the exact opposite of her argument.

she always does that. There is something wrong with her. Or maybe it’s just a language thing.

Sunny not only caught everyone, but the site he sent us to has a long list of comments that show NO-ONE knows it’s a joke. It’s just too believable, I guess.

I pulled her up on it twice, the first time she stopped answering, the second she put up a blog and passive aggressive at me, which made me cry, laughing.

I did write a few blogs about people reading their references but no one seems to care, I wonder at most people’s schooling or if it was that I went back to do my high school again, maybe I’m being untrendy? Its the same things that go on all the time on that website, and a few blog sites I’ve noticed. I’d rant about it but then people would call me a liberal, if only they would research 😉

I’ve had two people email me to come back today, that was a nice thing to wake up to 🙂 Hows things in the Neigh part of the world?

little too busy, working into the evenings, 12.0 hour days. Otherwise good. Tired now, I have to get offline and wind down before something catches my eye and wakes me up. You good? I’ll look back tomorrow, have a good day . . .

Busy helps the time go faster right?

I’m ok, a bit all over the place, having lots of trouble writing anything sensible, but otherwise I’m good 🙂
